Great Game Cities: Kansas City

How Immigrants Made KC a World Cup City

The Great Game Lab has partnered with storytelling fellows in a number of U.S. World Cup host cities to explore how their communities became connected to the world through the global game. In Kansas City, Suzanne Hogan, a Great Game City Fellow and the Managing Producer for KCUR Studios (the podcast wing of the city's NPR affiliate), is producing a series for the Great Game Lab and her station that looks at the role of protagonists ranging from her immigrant grandfather to legendary Kansas City Chiefs owner Lamar Hunt in making KC a World Cup city. The Great Game thanks the Carnegie Corporation for supporting this project.
